What I've Been Up To

Since putting Grindhouse Goodies into it's tomb for a rest I've had a new project to occupy my time. Lunchboxes.

It all started with my friend Lana making a Donner Party lunchbox, that got the gears grinding for me. Lunchboxes are a wonderful medium to work in, they don't require me to have a lot of artistic skill, it doesn't demand a lot of time and attention, and oddly enough, I find it relaxing.

The first two boxes I made were for the Flint Horror Con, I made a Manson Family box and a Friday the 13th box that focused mostly on the first film. I even got First Jason himself Ari Lehman to sign it! I have few pictures of the Jason one because I made it last minute and raffled it off before documenting it properly, but the person who won it went home happy, and that's what counts.

From there I moved on to lunch box purses, and that came about from a Marilyn Manson lunchbox, because I knew there was more of a chance of a goth girl using it as a purse to take to the clubs/concerts than for someone to use as an actual lunchbox.

I am in the process of finishing up a Pink Flamingos box and then In Gore Taste will be going live! It'll take a while before I get the new shop stocked up, but the wait will be worth it.

Also, check out Lana's blog for more lunchbox fun:

Like A Phoenix

Back from the ashes, baby!

So, here's the deal, while I have Grindhouse Goodies on hi-hateus and prepare to open In Gore Taste, I'm going to use this space to keep in touch with people who did actually enjoy the shop. As is the standard I doubt I will focus on this much (My Twitter weeps from neglect) but hopefully I can at least keep people updated on what the hell is going on around old uncle Metzger's place.

No Noose is Good News.

Hello, Fiends! It's still early, but I am honored to announce that I am once again going to be peddling my wares at the Flint Horror Convention this year! This year I am teaming up with my friend and author of Graveyard Blues, Reina Salt. If you haven't yet, pick up your copy of Graveyard Blues on the Kindle now.

Also, I am still working on finishing my first round of short story collections for your reading pleasure, and I promise it will be the Mother of all stories.

So, if you're gonna be in Flint in October, come on over to the Grindhouse Goodies table and say hi to your humble Metzger, buy some candy, and spread the fear far and wide.

Until next time....STAY SCARED!

While the Metzger is Away.

I'll admit, I suck at social media. I have no clue how to use Tumblr or why I even have one, but I do. I blog for some reason, because what the hell else am I doing? I have a twitter I never use, except whenever I get a notification. What does this have to do with anything? I have no idea, but it helps explain why I only post shit every few months.

Anyway, I'm busy writing a collection of short horror stories, so I'll be blogging even less frequently, if that's at all possible.

It's been a while

                                                                      Lucifer Fulci and I

So, I haven't been on here in a while, Not because I forgot about you guys, but because I've been busy trying to put this movie together and also because I was busy preparing for my first ever convention as a vendor. That's right, I worked at the first ever Flint Horror Con, and with the way things went I will definitely be there if they do another show next year.

That picture up there is me and Lucifer Fulci of Penis Flytrap/Flytrap/Wormfood. I gotta say, he was fucking awesome to meet, and I was glad to see him there.

I'll have more updates soon, until then, STAY SCARED!

Still trying to raise money.

I've been using Kickstarter for about a month now, and thanks to my awesome friends I have raised $363 of my $850 goal, I found a house I could use, but without the funding, I don't have a way to secure it. Spread the word for me, please, This movie can only reach it's fullest potential with your help.
